Lamps containing mercury enter the system on a power feed belt through a negative pressure air chamber. Mercury vapors and airborne calcium phosphate powder resulting from lamp implosion are trapped and collected in the multistage filtration system. The glass and metal components are separated by a mechanical process and then placed into their respective bins. |
